Philips Insights AI and ML Platform AS A Service

The Insights Platform is used to build targeted decision support algorithms and machine learning applications that enable the visualization of retrospective, prospective, and predictive data used to train predictive models and intended for use by data scientists and application developers without worrying about elasticity of the underneath infrastructure. The platform also provides mechanisms to explore, clean, and feature engineer data before training models, exposing APIs to create and evaluate models and scoring engines. To support this strategic project, I moved to Bangalored, India to build team and drive the architecture.
Key Results:
·       Designed and Delivered on premise and cloud based offering of the platform in less than a year and key contributor to the commercial launch in HIMMS 2018 and RSNA 2018
·       Hire the team and drive the technical and deployment architecture
·       Designed and Delivered a developer portal to cater different used cases for IT administrators and Data Scientists.
·       Designed first of a kind Market Place Infrastructure to host Philips and 3rdParty AI assets.

With the changing landscape of reimbursement and with-in Philips from a healthcare focus to health-tech focus organization, there is a need to have a longitudinal review the entire episode of care for the patient. As Fellow Architect designed and lead  the effort to harmonize the collection of data from different structured data sources and unstructured data sources like EMR, home monitoring devices, personal wellness devices etc.  and provide access of uniformed data via RESTful API’s on first public healthcare cloud initiative of Philips.
Key Results:
·       Designed and Delivered a Cloud platform to gather data from different data sources in NO-SQL data and enable many different business units to inject their data pipelines
·       Designed common platform for connected medical devices (IOT) and extend it for using outside Philips business units.
·       Designed all the data through an Open API platform
·       Created different competencies center team(s) in Israel, Netherlands and India and development/API/tooling standards to have a sustainable product following the Agile methodologies
·       Responsible for selecting vendor technologies for Authorization/Authentication framework, API gateway etc.
PACS ON CLOUD as VNA

In the PACS market space with economic changes business was struggling with the price erosion.  As a CTO, I lead the effort to design and deploy this new offering with teams spread between 3 different continents.
Key Results:
§ Define the technical strategy to move the existing data from the existed deployed solutions to the Cloud with emphasis on data life cycle management and prefetching.
§ Worked with the different stakeholders in the organization to define the new pricing model for this new solution offering.
§ Managed geographical diverse teams to define the right architecture to bring the cost of the solution down

PACS MOBILITY VIEWER

Lead the effort to design a platform agnostic first of its kind viewer to display the medical images on portable devices scaling for the entire enterprise using the low bandwidth.
Key Results:
§ Created entire framework for mobile medical grade viewer development for entire Philips Healthcare with a primary focus on usability..
§ Created a competency team to design and manage the automation testing framework.
§ Responsible to get the FDA clearance for the viewing platform.
PACS CUSTOMIZE WORKFLOW PLATFORM

Lead the effort to design a platform to cater custom workflows in radiology department.
Key Results:
§ Wrote many prototypes for picking the right technology to enable the customize workflows.
§ Design the architecture for the workflow platform and champion the adoption of single HL7 filling engine for whole Philips Medical Systems solutions.

Key Results:
§ Developed many key features with a focus on usability and cross platform distribution.
§ First time in PACS domain designed and developed open API to create an eco-system of customers and partners for complementing the product features.
