Work with Business Head and Head Consumer Secured Lending to develop strategies and forward positioning for the car financing business via the following:
Exploration and development of new business frontiers with external partners in the auto industry, with an immediate focus on the emerging electric vehicle (EV) eco-system
Work with internal partners to plan, develop and execute campaigns/events to drive cross-selling programmes (i.e. auto insurance for car loan customers)
Keep abreast of market trends, competitor actions, activities and development for the EV space. Provide feedback and collaborate closely with product team to conceptualise new product ideas or proposition and counter strategies with the objective of growing mind-share and market leadership for OCBC car financing.
Represent the bank to speak at events or webinar on topics relating to car financing matters
Roles and Responsibilities (to-be, subject to observation and assessment of suitability after coming onboard):
To oversee and run business acquisition teams who are responsible for the sales and relationship management for the following:
Auto industry: car distributors, used car dealers, and credit agencies
Renovation industry: interior design or contractor firms, and brokers
Deliver car financing and reno loan KPIs in terms of loan volumes, and revenues target
Support business plans for attaining market share leadership target
Qualifications Criteria of applicant:
University degree
Prior experience in business development and relationship management is a must. Having an “entrepreneur” mindset will be even more ideal.
Strong aptitude and interest for going out to meet and interact with people is crucial for this role. Part of the responsibilities includes representing the Bank for official functions or events with our external partners
Must be comfortable to engage in some form of public speaking and presentation
