The TTS Trade business provides a wide range of trade finance and trade services solutions to Citi’s corporate, financial institution, and public sector clients around the world. The In-Business Credit Risk Management (IBCRM) team is a core group of structuring and credit professionals who support the TTS Trade business globally. The IBCRM team conducts Trade’s Global Deal Review (GDR) process, manages the group’s Regional Portfolio Reviews, assists with structuring and documentation on complex transactions, manages the group’s Risk Acceptance Criteria (RAC) exception reporting, conducts other credit-related reviews of Trade portfolio, and serves as a structuring and policy resource within the business.
The GDR portion of the role includes reviewing requests that require approval by GDR voters, leading the approval calls, and documenting the decisions of the group. GDR is a product approval process (not a credit approval process) that was established to review and approve material TTS Trade deals that meet certain criteria thresholds. It is a control function for the TTS Trade business that considers structure (including documentation and operations) and credit as part of its decision making process.
The IBCRM team is currently based out of New York, London, and Singapore. The Senior Structurer – Asia position will be based in Singapore or Hong Kong.
The Senior Structurer – Americas position will report to the Global Head of IBCRM and with a focus on the Asia portion of the TTS Trade business. The Senior Structurer – Asia position will work with the Trade teams in Asia/ASEAN/Japan to provide structuring advice, review requests and make recommendations on deals and other requests originating from those geographies. The Senior Structurer – Asia position also (1) has a senior role in TTS Trade’s Regional Portfolio Reviews and FI/Corporate portfolio reviews, (2) reviews Trade’s new product ideas and, as needed, NPAC submissions, (3) helps manage Trade RAC reporting, and (4) supports various other credit risk and related work streams for the global TTS Trade business.
Specific responsibilities include the following:
The Senior Structurer – Asia position is high-profile and presents meaningful opportunities to influence the portfolio quality (for example, cost of credit, tenor, RAC compliance) for the TTS Trade business
Most work will be completed from the Singapore or Hong Kong office with occasional travel to support the region
