Job Description
Morgan McKinley is working with a globally renowned bank in search of a Team Lead with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills for their Transaction Monitoring Team

You will be joining an amazing, dynamic and collaborative team. As a Team Lead, you would be required to guide, mentor and coach your team members while driving and maintaining a strong compliance culture.

Job Description:

• Timely execution of Operational Management responsibilities with regards to the onshore team conducting Tier 2 alert investigations
• Governance over the outsourced Tier 1 alert investigations
• People leadership skills including performance and leave management
• Training of staff in line with HR policies and procedures
• Identification of key error trends and implementation of training a
• Upholding of quality targets
• Ensuring timeliness and accuracy of KPI reporting as well as management of dashboards
• Maintain, monitor, assess and enhance processes and reduction of likelihood or impact of risk
• Overseeing of Incidents and ensuring that incidents are accurately recorded and addressed and to ensure that reoccurrence doesn’t happen
• Partnering with stakeholders to implement business and change initiatives
• Working with first line of defence to develop indicators and tolerance limits and ensuring that the indicators are developed and implemented
• Development of action plans to address weaknesses and failures and following through on them
• Participation on internal and external audits and providing action plans to address them
• Working closely and standing in for other team lead in his absence

The Ideal Candidate:

• 5+ years in Transaction Monitoring
• Degree holder
• Strong understanding of Transaction monitoring including name screening with understanding of funds flow in respect to Trade Finance, Financial Markets, Corporate and Institutional Banking and Private Individuals
• Knowledge of Operations within the Banking Industry
• Experience and understanding of Asian Market – Singapore, Hong Kong, China, India
• Proven track record of leading and managing teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Preferably ACAMS or International Compliance Association Diploma Qualified
