The role of SVP, Head Data Engineering will drive the overall strategy and execution of how data will be captured, stored, accessed, and deployed across the social enterprises. The role will devise a consistent data warehouse architecture strategy and a comprehensive framework for a single or hybrid data management platform, evaluate and deploy tools to access this data, deploy BI tools, set up data governance and transfer frameworks and protocols, and manage the inflow and outflow of this information. In addition, this role will work with all API developers to ensure our data flows are consistent, follow data privacy guidelines, and protects our information sharing procedures.

NTUC group has 11 social enterprises and this leader will develop the data engineering capability and execute an enterprise data warehouse strategy, execution, and maintenance across ALL these enterprises within a central group analytics office capability.

You will be reporting to the Chief Data Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. As we embark on the journey of Data led enterprise, the role will manage Data architecture, Data Management, Data Governance, and Data Visualization. The responsibilities will be as follows:
2. Define and set the standards for an enterprise wide framework for Data Lake, Data Warehouse and Data Mart management, data governance, and utilization of information as an organizational asset.
3. Develop an overall data capture, storage, and dissemination framework for all the social enterprises defining central vs. local data framework.
4. Build the ETL frameworks for each SE working with their technology and data leaders and enable a consistent data model for each of the enterprises in the group CAO platform.
5. Set data governance standards, data control processes, data policy standards, and effective usage frameworks for the enterprise and all the SE’s.
6. Work with software vendors to deploy the latest BI, analytical and big data tools across the franchise.
7. Lead the efforts with our digital platform managers to ensure our data flows and API’s have defined and consistent frameworks.
8. Work with our customer experience teams, data science groups, and product managers to deploy tools and enable information access capabilities.
9. Closely partner with our data product solutions team as we build NE into an insights driven platform.
10. Collaborate with the business and tech stakeholders across Social Enterprises to generate insights

• Highly experienced in architecting data solutions with the latest hardware and software engineering competencies. Focus will be on cloud based DWH architecture, latest DWH technologies, BI tools, and cloud capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience of moving data from existing platforms to cloud architecture.
• Worked closely with business stakeholders, data science and product teams to deploy reporting and analytics solutions leveraging tools such as BigQuery, Google Data Studio, HADOOP, SPARK, HANA, and Tableau
• Must have worked on new e-biz enabled business models and how data is architected in these areas, especially customer and products.
• Managed and rolled-out data governance standards, data protocols, data security, and privacy disciplines.
• Worked closely with product vendors to deliver high quality solutions leveraging latest technical advancements and negotiating optimal pricing.
• Managed budgets and drive financial discipline to achieve business outcomes in a profitable manner
