Job Purpose
This is a role in Consumer Banking Group (“CBG”) Regional Credit team, supporting Head – Consumer Credit Regional Strategy, Risk Transformation, Credit System & Infrastructure and COO in driving key strategic business priorities pertaining to consumer lending Acquisition (horizontally with CBG Business) and Credit Initiation, to achieve robust consumer credit risk management capabilities, scalable operating effectiveness and quality business growth.
Key Accountabilities

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Consumer Business Acquisition (For All Consumer Lending Products)

• Drive business initiatives/projects and new technologies/ecosystem partnerships related to acquisition and credit initiation at regional level and across locations/markets.
• Advocate horizontal organisation by working with other regional function heads (Senior Credit Officer providing country/product oversight, Governance, Policy, Portfolio Management, Collection) and CBG Business to build effective collaboration and implementation of business and functional objectives.
• Establish relevant playbooks to promote consistency of quality standards in risk assessment and implementation pertaining to Business Acquisition.
• Collaborate with other Risk Management Group (“RMG”) units, Technology and CBG Business Units to drive cohesive innovation / digital capabilities and deliver new credit value propositions across locations/markets.

Regional Credit Initiation Oversight

• Set and drive heightened standards on consumer credit lending (specifically on Credit Initiation), in line with best practices in the industry, including analytics and data-driven approach.
• Establish Credit Initiation playbooks to support consistent implementation of Group / Regional Credit Initiation policies and standards.
• Steer continuous improvement in efficacy & efficiency of Credit Initiation processes specifically on:

• Participate actively in regular Acquisition and Existing Customer Management (ECM) performance reviews with local/regional Credit, Fraud, Group Portfolio Analytics and Business stakeholders, to reinforce strategic priorities, pollinate good practices and share learnings across locations.
• Lead Credit Initiation initiatives/projects on digitisation or automation to facilitate operational efficiency within CBG Credit, as well as enhance end-to-end customer and employee journey.

Required Experience
The candidate should have at least 12 years of proven experience in regional consumer lending Business Acquisition and/or Credit Risk Management (focusing on Credit Initiation). Candidate should also preferably have strong knowledge of digital consumer journey.
