Retail bank is the growth engine for the Singapore Consumer Business. Growing the Retail Bank requires liabilities / deposit growth and new customer acquisition.
i) Business Financial Management
a) Manage financials of the business including annual plans, forecast & outlook and provide regular and ad hoc updates to senior management for decision making
b) Perform portfolio analysis and trend to identify the risks and opportunities and propose actions to meet plans
c) Review and analyze the financial performance; key metrics and deep dive if there are any discrepancies and implementation correction plans
d) Achieve acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals as well as oversee identification and execution of opportunities and gaps to business plans
ii) Pricing Strategies
a) Manage pricing framework and ensure strategies are executed correctly especially in a low / negative interest environment to ensure profitability
b) Oversee strategic program roadmaps, development, launches, and marketing to gain maximum benefit from each product, as well as survey and analyze competitive industry landscapes to identify relative trends, threats, and opportunities to apply in strategy development and execution
c) Propose pricing strategies for acquisition and retention while balancing yield across TD, CASA (LCY & FCY) & balances
d) Develop plans and execute functional strategies requiring coordination and integration across Treasury, Compliance, Balance sheet & ALCO for the management of transfer pricing, GOT
iii) Regulatory reports / Stress testing / Regional and senior management reports
a) Ensure all regulatory reports (SDIC/ OCC/ MAS / IRRBB / GRITT), regional and country reports are verified and submitted timely
b) Review and verify the model output; perform stress testing as well as participate in the simulated exercises (CCAR; ICCAP, IWST)
c) Collaborate & manage the FAST Net Debit Cap with Payment Operations, Treasury & ALCO
a) Participate & manage payments related industry roll outs (ABS)
b) Explore payments opportunities with the improvement of payment network/channels
c) Manage any system enhancements and changes so as to improve the process, facilitate digitalization and automation
v) People Manager
a) Coach and mentor a team of Product Managers to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team
b) Motivate and guide direct reports to perform and deliver beyond expectations in their respective roles
