Senior Trading Analyst – International Integrated Energy Company Permanent

This is an established integrated energy trading company with a global footprint. Singapore serves as its commercial Asia Pacific centre. Due to business growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a high calibre Senior Trading Analyst to join a team of high calibre trading analysts.

Reporting to the Trading Analyst lead, the Senior Trading Analyst will lead analytical work and provide detailed market insights into selected initiatives as guided by senior management. The Senior Trading analyst will also take on another role of supporting a less intensive trading desk in areas of exposure and P&L reporting. On behalf of the business, he/ she will lead trading efforts that support existing business processes such as cash flow at risk, refiner margin forecasts. The Senior Trading analyst will also be the key driver for trading projects including new business approval, trading system set up. Such projects will ensure that trading activities are eventually captured accurately and timely in systems and develop good trading flows and strategies with the desks.

The successful candidate will possess a good degree in finance or numerate discipline, with 6-10 years’ experience in a physical energy trading environment ideally as a product controller / risk analyst. You will be described as possessing excellent analytical and project management skills, is meticulous and a good team player. You will also have strong communication skills and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. IT competencies in Python/ Power BI will be an added advantage.
