You will report to the Head of Sales & Marketing, General Insurance department and lead a team to ensure all processing activities for commercial lines policies are within service level targets
Oversees the effective and prompt executions of all backend processing activities involving core processing systems
Oversees the team’s performance including conducting regular audits to ensure that the team’s operational metrics are constantly maintained at the stipulated levels
Identifies and implements process improvement activities, so as to keep operational productivity and efficiency at optimal level
Responsible for review and maintaining policy wordings for commercial line products
Maintains the internal risk accumulation registers
Leads the commercial lines processing team in projects to enhance the accuracy and delivery of services
Accountable for the training and development requirements of team members.
Support enhancement and UAT as required
Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices
Any ad-hoc duties assigned
Diploma holder or degree holder, insurance specific qualification such as ACII will be an advantage
3-5 years’ experience in operational management and at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role
Commercial line product processing knowledge is a pre-requisite
Commercial line underwriting concepts and practices will be an advantage
Experience in process enhancements is needed. Involvement in implementing systems solutions and project management will be advantages
A self-starter who is able to multi-tasks, and is resourceful in completing assignments using allocated resources
A good mentor and trainer to team members
Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
