Aid clients on ship finance matters
Interpret international legislation
Advise on charter-parties, insurance policies, ship-building, repair and conversion contracts, rights and liabilities
Mediate and advice on disputes arising from casualties, arrests, salvage, contracts and accidents
Administer legal plans and actions to ensure compliance with written standards and procedure
Skills and Qualifications Required:
A Bachelors of Law (LLB) , Masters (LLM) or Juris Doctor (JD) in Marine Law or Arbitration
5 to 10+ years PQE, called to bar in Singapore/UK/Australia/US or any commonwealth jurisdictions equivalent
Minimum 5 years of private practice experience is essential
Relevant in-house experience/secondments in shipping companies, commodities firms is advantageous
Strong analytic and reasoning abilities, and stakeholder engagement
Dynamic, Self-Starter and an international outlook
