Join our dynamic and high performing Financial Management Group as a Finance professional, working closely with stakeholders in managing the financial affairs and regulatory reporting obligations of Macquarie Singapore’s legal entities.
Based in Singapore, you will be the Legal Entity Controller for Macquarie Singapore’s entities licensed under the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), and also manage financial and regulatory reporting for these entities. You will be responsible for effective risk management of legal entities and compliance with the Group’s financial control and regulatory reporting framework, while ensuring that MAS regulatory reporting requirements are understood and accurately completed.
Leveraging your technical knowledge and expertise of regulatory rules and requirements, you will partner with the business to drive capital/liquidity efficiencies and provide advice and analysis on regulatory changes by keeping abreast of regulatory developments. This position requires strong stakeholder management skills (often at leadership levels), as you will work with business groups and opine on regulatory impact of new products and/or new transactions and make appropriate recommendations to Finance approvers. You will also work with internal stakeholders to ensure data integrity and drive process improvement, enhancement and automation.
Last but not least, you will be involved in projects and ad hoc requests from internal stakeholders and/or MAS including finance regulatory projects driven by regulatory change, internal business changes or new business activities; and liaising with global teams of external auditors to ensure successful and seamless completion of audits
To excel in this position, you will hold a Bachelor of Accountancy or Finance and a professional accounting qualification like CA or CPA, along with minimum 6 years’ experience in regulatory reporting, financial control and/or legal entity control within a financial institution. You will bring strong technical knowledge of IFRS based financial reporting and MAS regulatory reporting rules and requirements. Understanding of Hong Kong’s Securities & Futures Commission (SFC) guidelines and regulation will be a plus point.

More seasoned candidates having over 10 years relevant experience can be considered for Senior Manager level.
