Morgan McKinley is working with a dynamic and fast growing FinTech, looking for a Legal Counsel. You will be joining and award-winning, integrated digital financial services solutions group!

You will be joining and award-winning, integrated digital financial services solutions group! This opportunity will give you the chance to work with a diverse group of innovative, energetic, result-driven, pragmatic and passionate individuals.

You will be a result-oriented, self-starter who will be working with various teams within the business and providing solutions and to effectively support the listing transactions and regulatory risks in the business. You would be working independently to provide oversight on behalf of senior management with the emphasis on enhancing the business’s activities and supporting the risk management framework to adhere to industry standards as well as regulatory and legal requirements.

Job Scope:

• Working closely with the CEO and business teams to define and execute business development strategies in related countries of operation
• Working closely with compliance officers to maintain oversight on risk management and regulatory compliance issues in their related jurisdictions
• Provision of end to end transactional support to business and deal team members to mitigate and anticipate any legal, compliance and reputational risks that may arise
• Working closely with external business partners and collaborators to establish scope of partnerships and drafting and reviewing relevant commercial agreements
• Facilitating engagement with law firms and other professional advisors

The Ideal Candidate:

• 10+ PQE, with experience from international law firm or in-house experiences at international banks
• Strong CMS and SFA knowledge
• Experience in brokerage and exchange firms
• Familiar with general banking and finance, capital market (debt and equity) and securitization work
• Strong drafting and analytical skills
• Strong risk awareness and risk management skills
• Ability to demonstrate clear commercial application of legal and regulatory knowledge
• Ability to balance legal and regulatory risks against commercial needs
• Articulate and meticulous with and analytical and inquisitive mindset
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to work and be part of a greater team as well as ability to work independently
• Organised and motivated
