Janus Henderson operates an outsourced model in partnership with our Third-Party Administrators (TPA). The primary focus of the Operations team is the oversight and management of the TPAs as well as supporting internal clients (for example the Distribution and Investment teams). Operations also support numerous projects and operational changes to maintain best practice operational processes.
Overview of the role
You will lead the Asia Investment Operations team’s delivery of services and support to the company’s investment professionals and clients, both internal and external, and bring excellent knowledge of Investment Book Of Records (“IBOR”) management, data reconciliation, position keeping and the lifecycle of trades across multiple asset classes.
You will form strong relationships with Asia Pacific based investment professionals to help ensure the team and department provide a high level of service to the Investment department. Any service issues are to be quickly and appropriately responded to and resolved in line with agreed procedures and escalation protocols.
The Asia Investment Operations Team works as part of the Global Investment Operations Team using a “follow the sun” model to ensure continuous service delivery and issue resolution. You will collaborate with managers and teams within both operations and other departments across geographies to ensure service delivery remains aligned and consistent across the company.
A custodian of the company’s core values, you will be responsible for managing a team and helping to develop the skills and careers of team members. You will meet regularly with team members and oversee the setting of challenging, achievable and measurable objectives that will help contribute to both the development of team members and department objectives.
In addition, the team is responsible for management of large parts of the firm’s IBOR. You will lead the team’s analysis, reporting and resolution of systematic trade, position and data issues. It will be expected that the team briefs investment operations teams in other regions of trade and data quality issues on a daily basis to ensure issues are minimised, mitigated and resolved without impacting, or with as little impact as possible to the investment management or other processes.
You will ensure Asia Investment Operations operate within Janus Henderson’s operational control and third-party governance framework.
You will work closely and collaboratively with project working groups charged with scoping and delivering enhancements and strategic changes to the operating model.
