Daily management of equities and futures-based indices across global markets, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Day and Night Shifts for the team.
Supervise the implementation of corporate actions and index rebalances in a timely and accurate manner.
Serve as a primary escalation point in handling exceptions and follow through to ensure proper resolutions.
Act as point of contact and subject matter expert, providing mentorship and guidance to team members.
Define technical requirements for automation and process improvement of operational tasks.
Engage team members to share best practices and improve end-to-end outcomes for index clients.
Identify procedural risks and implement systemic measures to mitigate risks.
Job Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance, Mathematics or Engineering
5+ years of work experience in middle or back-office functions within the banking and finance industry
Exceptional analytical skills, comfortable working with large amounts of data and quantitative algorithms
Experience in building, innovating, and improving processes
Demonstrated success in working within time constraints to meet critical business needs, while ensuring that service requirements are met
Experience identifying and resolving issues independently, taking initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances
Excellent communication, both verbal and written to convey operational status, updates on issues, and business drivers during periodic reviews
Experience in facilitating “win-win” situations, working with others to achieve positive outcomes and resolving conflicts.
Advanced Excel skills (VBA & Macros, Power Query)
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge with vendor terminals and data feeds such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv and Factset
Python programming skills
Proven ability to influence others without having positional authority
Ability to deep dive and develop innovative ideas for process enhancements
