Main duties: As an Internal Quality Assurer, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality assurance of our qualifications in line with awarding organisation requirements. The Health & Social Care IQA will take a pro-active approach to supporting Personal Development Managers (Assessors) to deliver progressive teaching, learning and assessment visits with learners in line with our curriculum approaches and awarding organisation standards, observing practice and working with them to drive improvements through Quality Development Plans and team standardisations.
Health & Social Care Assessor – Must hold a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA.
•Assess and support learners working towards Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care Levels 2/3 (Level 5 if competent depending on role).
•Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely assessments and reviews are conducted.
•Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress, commitment statement etc.
•Support, advise and motivate learners.
•Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
•Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely assessments / visits (as required), quality paperwork and general administration.
Note: In addition to the above qualifications, there must be evidence of occupational competence in all qualifications.
Furthermore, we also require additional documentation for the staff. In order to be approved to be an Assessor, there must be proof of an Assessing qualification. Similarly, to be approved as an IQA there must be evidence of an IQA qualification. In addition to these qualifications, there must be evidence of occupational competence in all qualifications that you are seeking to be approved for.
