A global consumer financial services institution continues to gain market share in Asia including Singapore. Hubbed regionally in Singapore, they are committed to invest in expanding the platform and digital innovation. This is a newly created Risk leader role sitting with the Business.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Business Leader, you manage the overall risk for the unsecured / payments channel, you will be instrumental in the design and implementation of a cutting-edge strategy for monitoring and managing risk. There is a broad scope covering Fraud Control, Merchant Risk, Authorisation, Anti-Money Laundering, Regulatory Compliance, Operational controls and Data Protection. You will take initiative to identify risk areas and suggest changes to controls and continuously improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of fraud risk management processes. Ensure fraud recovery opportunities are fully optimised. Maintain good relationships with law enforcement officials, card issuers, acquiring members and credit bureaus in order to implement effective risk control measures. Analyze fraud transaction patterns to advance fraud preventive measures and minimise losses. This is a highly visible role where you work closely with the business to ensure the new business/product strategy is managed.
Requirements
You possess at least 10 -15 years of relevant Cards and/or Payment Risk experience with a focus on Fraud risk management experience. Deep domain knowledge and understanding of Merchant Acquiring Risk. Knowledge in applying AI and/or analytical data modelling skills is a bonus. With strong communication and influencing skills, you are commercial, strategic, solutions-oriented , driven and possess the gravitas of a credible risk leader.
