We’re looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.
Manage cross-functional, fully integrated planning process that incorporates capacity planning, production scheduling, warehouse and inventory management, material and associated cost elements, to achieve optimal materials supply management for optimal manufacturing productivity, by means of effective coordination with cross-functional business teams to develop the best economic strategy for material planning to support customer demand
Responsible for tactical purchasing activities and inventory control
Performs analysis of customer demand, purchase order volume forecasts and historical material usage to ensure an efficient build to order and build to forecast plans, including that of reviewing the existing sourcing strategy and KPIs to ensure adherence to minimum order quantity etc
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Process Engineering and Quality to achieve cost reduction targets, including that of implementation of Lean practices in warehouse operations to maximize warehouse space, utilization and efficiency
Chain Management role in a Healthcare equipment manufacturing environment, with proven track record in materials management, materials planning and supplier management capabilities for a global organisation
Strong influencing & negotiation skills to drive process improvements to enhance & streamline process maturity within a design and manufacturingenvironment, with planning experience with the SAP system
Experience in total quality, six sigma, or other similar environments can be beneficial to the organisation
Motivated to deliver desired work results within tight schedules, with good project management skills and also be excellent in Microsoft Excel (advanced level)
