The Role: S&P Global Platts’ Head of Global Trading Services (GTS) is responsible for leading Platts strategic relationships and partnerships with exchanges and trading services around the world.
The leader in this role is responsible for devising and driving Platts strategy regarding relationships with exchanges globally. This person also oversees the management of the global eWindow business, which underpins price assessment processes at the heart of the Platts commodity benchmark franchise. The Head of GTS partners across the organization to identify new expansion opportunities for GTS and coordinate the customer, content and product management activities required to expand benchmark impact and grow revenue.
GTS currently operates two lines of business – Trading Services and Licensing – with expectations of future growth and expansion. Trading Services provides electronic communication solutions around Platts assessment processes to Platts customers around the world with the flagship product being eWindow. Licensing engages and contracts with exchanges and other organizations wishing to leverage Platts’ IP for the purposes of creating cash settled derivatives and other products facilitating trade and risk management in global markets.
Both Trading Services and Licensing are key to supporting and driving value from existing benchmarks and are critical to the success of new ones. The pan-regional and cross-sector nature of our work means that GTS operates in all Platts regions and supports activities of customer trading teams, Platts editors and product management in all sectors. This role will set the tone from the top to drive a culture of accountability, excellence and delivery.
Team: Manage a global team of 15+ individuals located in Singapore, London & Houston with possible expansion in additional locations including India and/or Philippines.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Functional and Business Knowledge
Understand the strategic goals for S&P Global Platts as well as cross-functional strategic imperatives that are relevant to the effective running and expansion strategy of Global Trading Services. Have a strong working knowledge of the mechanisms underlying the trading of physical commodities as well extensive experience with the trading, clearing and financial settlement of commodity derivatives. Need to understand the interplay between the physical and financial markets and roles of price reporting agencies and exchanges in that ecosystem from both a customer (trader and broker) and partner (exchange) perspective.

Ability to influence and operate within a matrixed, global environment within S&P Global Platts.
Ability to interact and negotiate with Executives across Exchanges and other third parties; Head of GTS will lead interactions, communications and negotiations with Exchanges around the world and requires the ability, confidence and knowledge to interact with Exchange personnel at every level

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $145,000 to $307,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
