We’re looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.
You will oversee all our lending products across Nano Financing, working capital financing, PayLater, invoice discounting, etc
You will oversee and continue to grow a sizable team of engineers based in Singapore and Bangalore. You will be growing your teams by thoughtful planning, strategic decision making and using your eye for talent to hire the best engineers and engineering managers.
As a Head of Engineering, you put ‘Grab before self’ and make thought-through decisions in the organization’s best interest.
You drive your teams forward by being objective and supportive, as well as raising the bar continuously by striving for the great delivery and code quality.
You develop your teams by promoting intellectual rigor, identifying skill gaps and providing training where required.
You manage and execute against projects and delivery commitments, and develop our mobile strategy and roadmap.
You manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering teams within an Agile/Scrum environment.
You collaborate with the business and product teams to achieve Grab’s goals and growth. If you don’t see others’ problems as your problem, you will not thrive here.
15+ years of experience in proven leadership roles at complex technical organizations focused on digital and technology services, preferably working in Digital Banking, Lending, Payments and/or other BFSI domain.
Experience leading successful matrixed organisations with up to 100 or so engineers and driving large-scale projects and products, in collaboration with product, design and commercial teams, to succeed.
Track record of designing, developing and implementing complex, low-latency, and preferably transaction-based/B2C, mobile applications and/or web services with over one million users. Experience in back-end, architecture and infrastructure, web services.
Strong business acumen and are therefore driven to and deliver an optimal user experience.
BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering; MBA/other relevant graduate degree is a plus.
Strong communication skills and can act as an advisor, coach, mentor, and partner all at the same time with the demonstrated ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
