We’re looking for a candidate to this position in an exciting company.
The Director, Network Account Management (NAM) leads a multi-national team of colleagues with a blend of skills in commercial negotiations, partner relationship management and strategic vision. The successful applicant for this role will be responsible for the management of Akamai’s network service provider ecosystem and will lead Akamai’s commercial negotiation team who are responsible for the acquisition of network capacity and data centre colocation across the APJ region. This position reports directly to the VP of Network Infrastructure APJ. Akamai is looking for an individual who has deep industry experience with C-level contacts and is a strong influencer with confidence to negotiate with key decision makers in the industry.
Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent.
Minimum of 10 years’ commercial experience in either Internet Service Providers, Telecom’s operators, OTTs or Cloud computing or equivalents.
At least 5 years’ experience in successfully leading and managing a diverse, distributed team located in different countries and cultures.
Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role.
Proven track record of strong vendor management and partner relation skills to identify and leverage resources internal and external to the corporation enhancing capabilities that support our business.
In depth understanding for all major functional areas of the Internet, transport/access networks and data centers.
Experience managing and planning a complex multi-million-dollar operating budget.
