We’re looking for a candidate to this position in an exciting company.
Working in collaboration with established agents to develop a comprehensive plan to influence the understanding of stockpiling of Military, Governmental, Public Health, biological and chemical countermeasure products
Build and cultivate strong, long-term relationships with Key Decision Makers in relevant main purchasing organisations and to develop in-depth knowledge of the customer organisation
Marshal internal resources and generate goodwill from within the organisation to overcome internal blocks and challenges in order to progress the overall business aims of the organisation
Actively analyse the competitive landscape including positioning and pricing and reasons for customer’s choosing competitors over EBSI products and services
Prepare a monthly activity/results report for The Director, European Commercial Operations outlining progress against plan, key customer activity and objectives for short/medium term
Input all activities into the EBSI knowledge management/CRM system in a timely fashion and in line with company data protection procedures and SOPs
Maintain up to date knowledge of EBSI and services such that you are seen as an expert in those areas by your customers
Proposal preparation in conjunction with internal legal/contracts team and acting as EBSI champion on bid defence
Identify future customers and opportunities for EBSI product pipeline
Strategic Thinking. The ability to understand the organisation’s competitive position and to relate industry and market trends to developing an overall strategy supported by an implementable business plan and tactics.
Drive for results. To ensure they are building awareness of the company within the country, and creating strong relationships with key customers and building a strong reputation
Project Management. To organise and plan internal and external resources and time, to build effective plans with key milestones and ensuring that what needs to be done, gets done – to budget and on time.
Relationship Builder. The ability to build and sustain relationships over a time and to be comfortable interfacing with key stakeholders at all levels within the decision making chain, from senior strategic level decision makers to junior operational and everything in between. To become embedded within key territories creating, strengthening and protecting relationships.
Collaboration. To marshal internal resources and generate goodwill from within the organisation to overcome internal blocks and challenges.
Business Development combined with Key account management skills with and entrepreneurial drive to work autonomously with minimal direction
Knowledege of the CBRN Healthcare space and or Medical Countermeasures including one of the following:
Commercial activity THE LIFESCIENCES/HEALTHCARE/MEDTECH/VACCINES/Biologics markets transferrable to the Emergent portfolio
Working knowledge of MILITARY/CIVIL DEFENCE market dynamics, people and procurement
Track record of influencing strategic groups such as Military procurement, Depts of Health, PUBLIC HEALTH AND the first responder community
In addition the person should be:
Show key leadership skills and capabilities to own a National business/es
Proactive and accountable with a clear drive for delivery
A proven track record of success a willingness and ability to manage customer relationships at all levels of seniority, from junior operational level influencers to senior strategic decision makers and all levels in between and a working knowledge of how to influence their policy decisions would be an advantage
Experience of and established relationships with relevant purchasing bodies: Military/Civil Defence, Public Health and Civil Defence (or relevant country descriptions of these bodies) WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE BUT NOT A CORE REQUIREMENT
Sound understanding of the relevant domestic business environment, government policies, structures, funding streams and processes. Appreciation and awareness of industry trends that can impact the business positively or negatively
Ability to establish and maintain effective cross-functional/matrix working relationships with peers, senior leadership team and clients, evaluate resource capability needs and pull on those resources to support business activity
Degree educated in a science or business related subject or equivalent qualification
Exceptional business planning, account management and project management skills. Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Ability to present at larger congresses and or smaller meetings/exhibitions/trade-shows
