Part of a new Customer Experience & Design team within the bank, the candidate will be part of a team to design products and services that integrated Customer Experience (CX) and Employee Experience (EX) together-which are now two of the driving force of business that creates a unique, sustainable competitive advantage.

Here’s what we are looking for

• As a designer at our team, you will envision, design, and iterate the user interface that our customers experience on financial products & services which could range from desktop, mobile, and other mediums. You will partner with product managers and front-end engineers to take advantage of opportunities we have in the digital space and address customer pain points with our existing user experience. Finally, your designs should leverage or extend our site-wide design patterns and should be vetted at our team’s regularly held design reviews.

What you’ll be doing

• You will spend your time trying to create simple and usable products, simplify the content consumption flows. You will balance between privacy/regulation constraint and ease-of-use products-sometimes, it is an uphill battle but it will help you grow as a product designer. We believe “Limitation enables creativities”. Our team is open to changes and willing to work toward the best client experience.
• You’ll spend time with our wonderful research team. Together you’ll try to understand the business goals of your project and, more often than not, meet the stakeholders to redefine the problem statement.
• Simple product prototype or High-fidelity mockups with behaviors for new user interfaces and interactions. A product manager incorporates these mockups into the product requirements (for engineering).
• Lo-fidelity prototypes illustrating interaction patterns for usability studies, front-end engineering, or internal discussion.
• Providing feedback to engineering and QA throughout the development process to ensure high-quality delivery of your designs (filing bugs as needed).

Here’s what your week might look like

• You’ll spend time with our wonderful research team. Together you’ll try to understand the business goals of your project and, more often than not, meet the stakeholders to redefine the problem statement.
• You’ll create a simple product prototype or High-fidelity mockups with behaviors for new user interfaces and interactions. A product manager incorporates these mockups into the product requirements (for engineering).
• You’ll build low-fidelity prototypes illustrating interaction patterns for usability studies, front-end engineering, or internal discussion.
• You’ll provide feedback to engineering and QA throughout the development process to ensure high-quality delivery of your designs (filing bugs as needed).
• You’ll attend client usability testing, focus group, and other UX method to gain insights, validate your design hypothesis and iterate your design.

Qualifications
Here are the experience and skills we’d love you to have

• Clear verbal communicator with the ability to effectively present your work to both design and non-design audiences (e.g. business, technology).
• Proficient at solving business problems by facilitating a user-centric design process.
• Solid grasp of web design principals and a good understanding of front-end web technologies (e.g. ReAct, CSS, JavaScript, iOS, Android,)
• Adept at a broad range of UX design and implementation tools (OmniGraffle, Adobe CS, Invision, SketchApp, etc.)
• Sketching, visual thinking, and storytelling skills
• Strong online portfolio featuring design samples
• BS/BA in Design, HCI, Cog Science, or related field. Masters preferred.
