DevOps Platform Automation and Adoption Lead Permanent NEW

The DevOps Platform automation and Adoption lead is an intermediate level role responsible for assisting and work directly with Development team, product owner, datacenter team and various key stakeholders involved in the project delivery lifecycle. Design and implement build, deployment and configuration management of applications. You will be writing your Infrastructure as code (IaC), building and managing infrastructure. Automate platform infrastructure provisioning, maintenance of production and development environments. Brainstorm and conduct POC on new ideas as part of continuous improvement efforts to introduce more values to the pipeline. Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects. Conduct system level security scan, harden system and application platform to support DevSecOps functions. Participate in system performance testing. The overall objective is to use infrastructure technology knowledge and identified policies to process data, resolve issues and execute administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Create complex project plans, perform impact analyses solve/work high impact problems/projects, and provide resolutions to restore services
  Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of service.
• Design testing approaches, complex processes, reporting streams, and create automation of repetitive tasks.
• Review requirement documents, define hardware requirements and examine and update processes and procedures as necessary.
• Provide technical/strategic direction and act as advisor/coach to lower level analyst.
• Contribute to technical direction and strategic decisions.
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
• Develop Automation and Engineering framework to manage DevOps application support with strong business acumen for Consumer Business Channels.
• Implement integrations requested by customers.
• Work together with teams from several departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan.
• Mentor and train other engineers in the Organization and seek to continually improve processes.
• Good Knowledge and Experience on JPBPM, NodeJS, Gemfire, Redis and NGINIX, APACHE Tomcat is must.
• Experience in WebSphere ND, MQ, HIS webservers.
  Knowledge on Splunk, Ansible, Angular, shellscript is must.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of experience in Infrastructure Technologies delivery with a proven track record of operational process change and improvement.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience.
• Ability to work with virtual and in-person teams, and work under pressure or to a deadline.
• Experience in a Financial Services or large complex and/or global environment preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective analytic/diagnostic skills.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in DevOps practices.
• Passion for automation, standardization and best practices.
• Experience in software-defined infrastructure (OpenStack, CloudStack, vSphere).
• Experience with infrastructure provision tools (like Docker, Ansible, Puppet, Chef etc.).
• Good understanding of hardware infrastructure systems (network switches, firewalls, routers etc.) and Linux operating system.
• Basic understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
• Knowledge in DecSecOps will be an added advantage.
• Self-motivated and good communication skills.

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

• Experience in WebSphere ND, MQ, NGINIX, Nodejs, APACHE Tomcat is must.
• Must have experience with IBM RTC, JIRA, Confluence, Bit bucket, Jenkins, RLM.
• Must have hands on working Experience on continuous integration and continuous delivery.
• Must have good experience in Splunk and AppDynamics
• Experience in public cloud providers such as Pivotal cloud foundry, AWS, Azure or GCP. Professional certification is must.
• Experience in Linux administration is key for this role.
• Experience in Docker and containers orchestration is required
• Good understanding of Infra-as-code and Policy-as-code, must have worked with immutable infrastructure, IaC principles, Agile, Lean and Continuous Delivery approaches
• You possess knowledge of systems, servers, vpn, load balancers, storages, security, networking, monitoring, alerting etc.
• Prior experience with SQL, NoSQL databases and/or Linux will be an added advantage.
• You must be skilled with scripting languages (Python/Bash shell etc.) to automate dynamic cloud infrastructure.
