Contractor, Finance and Accounting ( 1 year contract) Contract NEW

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review all statutory returns and statistical surveys
• Responsible for the implementation of regulatory changes
• Work closely with the regulatory project team and establish a good relationship with the various stakeholders including vendor and IT
• Lead User Acceptance Test (UAT) for regulatory reporting projects
• Conduct analysis on new rules and requirements and identify the effects on regulatory reports, practices and procedures
• Provide financial and accounting support to other departments
• Responsible for developing and updating of standard operating procedures
• Introduce process improvements that will derive time efficiency and value add to the business
• Carry out other related duties as and when assigned by the Bank

Requirements:

• Minimum a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or any related discipline
• Minimum 5-8 years’ relevant experience within the Banking industry, Finance & Accounting space
• Experience in preparing statutory returns and good understanding of banking products
• Strong team player with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills’ able to multi-task and work well under pressure
• Proficient in spoken and written English/Chinese to liaise with Chinese speaking headquarter counterparties
• Chartered Accountant/Certified Public Accountant or ACCA holders will be a plus
