Business Function: The Singapore Country Management Office supports the Singapore CEO in developing and driving the overall strategy and agenda for DBS Singapore. Beyond internal business and people strategy, the Country Management Office also supports the Singapore CEO in all internal business meetings and external engagements. This involves working with various business and functions across the bank to drive strategic initiatives and outcomes. This position reports directly into the Singapore COO. The successful candidate will be supporting the Singapore CEO and COO.
Work closely with the Singapore COO and Business Units to drive strategic initiatives in Singapore This includes business priorities around digital bank response strategy, ecosystems, payments, horizontal organization, future of work, people agenda and ad-hoc projects etc.
Conduct in-depth research around key business trends and macro developments on strategic business initiatives.
Partner the business stakeholders closely on digital bank research analysis and benchmarking across strategy, product propositions, customer journey and marketing.
Support the Singapore COO in measuring the performance against the Country Balance Scorecard.
Engagement and communication with internal and eternal stakeholders on Singapore Country communications from the Singapore CEO.
Support the Singapore Country leadership and townhall events in close partnership with Corporate Communications team.
Preparation of business reviews decks, board papers and materials for external engagements.
The successful candidate should have strong banking background. The candidate must be a clear and confident communicator, willing to be hands on and be able to work within a team environment as well as autonomously.
Bachelor Degree with minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in business and strategy background with international banks or commercial banks, with sound understanding in Consumer or SME or Fintech business and products.
Dynamic and resilient team player, who has a passion for reading and understands the impact of macro-economics, government policies, regulations on business drivers and growth.
Demonstrate strong influencing skills and resourcefulness to drive outcomes and highly organized in workplan developments and project updates.
As part of the strategy team, you will need to be creative and strong in data analytics, with an ability to identify trends and connect it to political, social, financial market, job/employment, economic growth and evaluate implications on current business strategy and help develop a response.
Strong understanding of financial, business models and appreciates the link between consumer behaviour and buying patterns in a business context.

This will be a contract role for a period of 12-months.
