Join us as a Firmware Engineer in the Research & Development team to support our Power Management & Multimarket division. You will be responsible for driving and providing embedded firmware developments, technical supports and architectural selections. This is a 2-year contract.
In your new role you will:
Perform embedded firmware development for Chager/Adapter and PC power applications
Work closely with system concept, hardware (digital and analog) and application experts to develop firmware
Develop firmware code and optimization to meet target requirements
Hands on testing and debugging on the SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply ) application hardware
Ensure firmware development are adhered to Infineon firmware development process
Provide and maintain the firmware development environment and support tools throughout the development cycle
Perform firmware verification and validation on system level
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
Fresh graduate with Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering
C/C++ programming and Assembly language skills are mandatory
Some understanding in embedded software development and familiar with embedded development tool-chains
Knowledge in embedded processor architecture and experience with hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, USB, LPC, ISO 7816 etc)
Knowledge of power converter architectures and algorithms for TV, Adapter and PC power supply applications is highly desirable
Experience with configuration management, software revision control such as clear case, SVN, GIT etc
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills
