8F Asset Management (“8F AM”) is a Singapore head-quartered licensed private equity fund manager focused on impact investments in environmentally responsible Atlantic Salmon land farming facilities and production. 8F AM aims to build a world leading land-based aquaculture business under the Pure Salmon group, using land-based sustainable Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) technology, creating material positive social and environmental impact. 8F’s operation is growing at a fast pace, we have offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, UK and Germany. This job opening is a result of the expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory/ Compliance
• Ensure that all activities in the organization is conducted in accordance with MAS, Hong Kong Securities & Futures Ordinance, Shanghai Municipal Financial Services Office and other regulatory bodies by assessing impact of regulatory changes and advise on guidelines and regulatory requirements
• Ensure timeliness and accuracy of the submission of regulatory reports from the relevant business/operation units
• Advising senior management on the effectiveness of core operational controls
• Advising on compliance aspects relating to securities, corporate finance, licensing and related matters
• Oversee the overall compliance monitoring, reporting and AML/KYC function of the organization and act as manager in-charge of the compliance function
• Ensure proper compliance with FATCA and CRS compliance reporting requirements
• Formulate compliance policies and procedures, stay up to date on any regulatory changes and ensure that any business is compliant with existing/ new regulations
• Responsible for interactions with the regulatory bodies
• Prepare and maintain an annual compliance training plan which addresses employee needs and compliance requirements

Experience/Qualifications:
• At least 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in Asset/Fund management or financial services
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Law preferred
• Familiarity with regulatory environment in financial industry (Singapore, Hong Kong, Mainland China). Familiarity with Abu Dhabi, United Kingdom and Germany regulations is a plus
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• Independent, pro-active, business oriented and the ability to work in a fast pace environment
• Team player and good interpersonal skills
