Clinical Coder / Clinical Coding Specialist Permanent NEW

We’re looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.

•  You will be responsible for translating patients’ medical diagnoses, operations and procedures into codes using the international coding classification system which records patients’ healthcare data.

• For Specialist position, you will also be required to provide leadership and supervision to the Clinical Coding Unit through own coding expertise. You will be required to participate in hospital-wide projects that require coding and casemix input, such as financial review of casemix data, quality improvement projects (clinical and administrative), etc. 

• MBBS or Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
• Clinical experience in an acute ward settings or related field is preferred
• Knowledge in word-processing, spreadsheet and basic statistical skills are essential
• Able to perform precise and detailed work
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Independent and a team player
• 5 years of coding experience & 2 years of supervisory experience as well as prior knowledge in DRG auditing and/or training preferred for specialist position
