Business Function Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank’s operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
• Act as first line of defence to proactively manage Outsourcing Risks as per Regulatory and DBS Outsourcing Risk management policy and standard. • Perform periodic onsite validation checks on Outsourcing Service Providers (OSPs) and Vendors as required under the control standards per Group Procurement Services checklist and customised Additional Site Visit checklist. • Responsible to assess issues identified to ensure the outsourcing risk exposure over the key processes are in control and within risk appetite. • Responsible for the identification, reporting and escalation of emerging and upstream outsourcing risk through the execution of Outsourcing Risk policy and Outsourcing Governance, operational risk management framework tools, including issue management, error & risk event management, and action plan tracking. • Prepare and manage the timely submission of site visit and outsourcing risks reports. • Perform risk reviews for new processes arising from new initiatives or process automation involving OSPs & vendors • Perform deep dive of operational processes, thematic review and landscape review, across multiple OSPs & vendors to identify potential operational risks and ensure mitigating controls are implemented • Strengthen risk management through the use of data / tools to enhance controls and risk monitoring.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Business or Banking and Finance will be preferred • Min. 4 years of experience in Consumer Banking Operations and/or Outsourcing Governance or Operational Risk / Audit / Controls in the above functions • Good inter-personal and communication skills • Possess good control mindset and able to understand a broad range of operational issues • Self-starter and ability to multi-task. • Strong planning, organisational and analytical skills • Attention to details and good analytical skills • Ability to work independently, with strong planning and organization skills. • A team player with ability to drive and complete initiatives independently • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
