Alternative Data Analyst – Contract Temporary

Your Company:

My client is a top-tier investment bank who is looking for an Alternative Data Analyst to join their Consumer Sector team.

Your Role:

• The role is part of the Consumer sector team, within the broader UBS Evidence Lab Solution Specialist team.
• Brainstorm and collaborate with UBS Research analysts to design, execute, and deliver novel solutions for investment debates.
• Provide post-delivery support of alternative data analytics.
• Create written content highlighting how alternative data applies to relevant investment debates.
• Clearly communicate to solve challenges, while moving toward consensus solutions
• Maintain project meta data, documentation, and workflow.

Your Team:

You’ll be working in the Evidence Lab based in Singapore with global coverage as a member of the Solution Specialist team. This team is a senior team who designs projects leveraging and creating alternative data sets across existing Evidence Lab frameworks and new solutions. We work closely with our stakeholders to create commercially valuable insights for investment decision makers. In addition to designing alternative data assets, which feature in thousands of research reports each year, the team creates content highlighting the potential use of alternative data by external clients.

Your Requirements:

• At least 2-4 years of experience within sell-side, buy-side, investment banking, private equity or consulting firms.
• Industry knowledge of global Consumer sector.
• Direct experience leveraging data sets to create insight ready analysis
• Direct experience creating written content and visuals that connect fundamental data to financials and investment debates
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities converting large datasets to easy-to-understand insights via clear charts
• Experience working with VBA, SQL, or in programming languages such as Python and R is a plus
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
